Through years of training athletes and studying the human body, I realized that we create imbalances throughout our bodies that can lead to both major and minor injuries. In my case, I developed one of the most common imbalances, known as lordosis or lower cross syndrome. This imbalance caused reduced spacing and mobility between the discs in my back, ultimately leading to herniation. I worked with several well-known PTs and MAT specialists to correct my lordosis. The solution turned out to be relatively simple: stretch and lengthen the quads and hip flexors, strengthen the glutes and hamstrings, and stabilize the core. I felt the pain in my back improving each day. This routine led to improved hip and back health along with enhanced performance. After seeing the results first hand, I knew I needed to apply this concept to the athletes I was training.
